| Jerome Gay has developed
and extended the traditional Portuguese 'Azulejo' or tile painting. Traditionally
the tiles were used to adorn public and private places, all manner of sign
posting on streets and at the entrance to houses. Jerome's work has modernized
the tradition of the Azulejo technique and whilst adopting the typical blues and yellows he has extended his palette to reflect the contemporary environment in which his work sits. Interior and exterior spaces are brought to life by the vibrancy of his work, both abstract and figurative. |
